FRONTIERSPACE Ventures

Your visitor analytics choices

This page controls Frontierspace’s visitor analytics. With your permission, we use our own cookie to recognize repeat visits, Cloudflare’s approximate country, city and network information, IPLocate’s company lookup service, and reverse DNS lookups through Cloudflare’s public resolver.

Company lookup and sharing

When you allow analytics, our server sends your IP address to IPLocate to look up the company associated with your connection and whether it is a shared or hosting network. We do not send your browser identifier, browsing history, referring page or form contents to IPLocate. Its handling of lookup requests is described in its linked privacy policy. A company match is evidence about a network, not proof of your employer or personal identity.

Reverse DNS lookup

Our server sends a reverse DNS query containing your IP address to Cloudflare’s public DNS resolver. The resolver may contact the DNS servers responsible for that address range. We do not include your browser identifier, page history or form contents. A returned hostname is an unverified network clue, not a company or employer identification. Hostnames may themselves contain address-like or identifying text published by the network operator.

What this tracker keeps

We save a random browser identifier, page paths, visit timestamps, referring website hostname, approximate location, Cloudflare network owner, company name, website and network type returned by IPLocate, and any reverse DNS hostname and lookup status. We do not save the raw IP address as a separate field, personal names supplied by visitors, emails, form contents, URL query strings or device fingerprints. To reuse lookups, we keep daily changing keyed hashes of the IP. Company results expire at UTC midnight; failed company lookups are cached for up to 15 minutes. DNS results respect the returned DNS cache lifetime, capped at UTC midnight; missing answers are cached for up to five minutes and failures for five minutes. Temporary hashes connecting pending DNS lookups to visits are cleared on completion or after five minutes during the next cleanup. These hashes do not merge browsers or establish personal identity.

Cookies and retention

The fs_visitor cookie lasts up to 90 days. Your allow/decline choice (fs_visit_consent) lasts six months. Activity is available for the most recent 30 days; expired records are removed on the next collection or dashboard request. A new visit starts after 30 minutes of inactivity. Clearing cookies or using another browser produces a separate identifier.

Make a choice

Tracking starts only after you allow it. If you accepted an earlier version of this notice, we ask again before enabling reverse DNS lookups. Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track prevent this tracker from running. Declining stops future tracking and clears the visitor cookie. Previously recorded activity, including lookups already in progress, remains subject to the 30-day retention policy. Expired cache entries are removed on the next lookup or dashboard request.

These choices apply to this first-party tracker. The site’s existing Google Analytics integration is separate.
