About this event
Nilesh Patel is a Senior Managing Director at Blue Owl and member of the Real Estate Credit Investment Team. In his role, his responsibilities include making investments in CMBS securities, REIT bonds and loans as well as structuring and executing Blue Owl’s CRE securitizations. Before joining Blue Owl, Nilesh was the Chief Investment Officer of Prima Capital Advisors, the predecessor firm to Blue Owl’s Real Estate Credit strategy. Prior to that, Nilesh worked in various capacities as a Vice President at Goldman Sachs. Nilesh joined Goldman Sachs in 2006 and he led a team that structured and placed commercial real estate CDOs. Nilesh also previously held roles at Deutsche Bank, where he worked for five years, with the new issue CMBS and CRE CDO group. Prior to Deutsche Bank, where Nilesh was a Director, he worked at GE Plastics. Nilesh received his BA in Economics and Mathematics – Computer Science from St. Lawrence University. He is a member of CREFC (Commercial Real Estate Finance Council).
